Good morning fresh*folks,
We presently use your Recurring Profile for processing post*dated cheques - works nicely using your UI, but alas, we cannot set the Online Payment field through the api.
Since your api doesn't permit sending of CCs, the only time this would be a problem would be if we had a credit card on file for a customer, and at renewal time(subscription service) the customer wanted to pay by cheque instead - but creating the recurring profile would bill their card.
Any suggestions ?

Hey Jodi,
This sounds like a case of manual editing the recurring profile in your FreshBooks account. You would need to log into your FreshBooks account, and edit the recurring profile so it no longer auto-bills your client but instead just generates the invoice. You can then use the API to enter manual payments as usual.

thanks. that was the solution we came to...
but, just so you understand, the expectation is that my users won't have to login to freshbooks - that they use our crm system for all customer activities. Jumping in and out creates user error and inefficiencies.
If your api vision would consider how we want to use your api then your site api should mirror site usage.
