Not very useful unless you want to pay the really high sticker price of 14.99. If you have a lot of clients the lite version only supporting 3 clients is pretty useless.
I thought it would be great to have with me but at 15.00 I'll just find a web browser, oh wait my phone is a web browser and freshbooks works just fine on safari :/
Cool idea - but you know there are other phones out there, right? For example, I'm using a Palm Pre...
Responsive to feedback to come up with the new update. Keep up the good work! Currently, this version does not support multiple contact from the same company which means that we cannot send estimates to 2nd or 3rd person other than the primary contact. Please work on this to perfect this app.

Mini books needs to be updated to support time tracking allowing users to create invoices from information logged!!

I was excited about this app at first. It was the main reason I decided to switch to an iPhone and was the first app I purchased. But, except for the timer, I've been very disappointed.
It's a good App for checking your invoices and clients while traveling but not for invoicing on the go which is the whole point of mobile apps. Great timer but only if you bill your customers on a weekly or monthly bases from your office. If you want to get paid on location at the time of the job, then you have to stop the timer, get some paper out, write down the time, then delete that time (don't click on submit) Then you can open the new invoice form and enter the time you wrote down on the piece of paper. No I don't do this, I just open my calculator and figure it out and send them a receipt as paid later from my office. But this is insane and I cannot believe that they left this feature out!!
Lack of expenses!! So my client has an emergency and I have to go to a local store to buy goods/parts for that customer while on location. No way to enter the expenses until I get back to the office. Sure, I can open Safari on iPhone, go to my Freshbooks website and painfully slowly navigate my way to the expenses to enter them on that little screen. But that's what the Apps are made for, to speed up entries. Don't understand why Minibooks refuses to update their app!? Their delay has caused competition and now there is another app called ExpenseBooks for adding expenses. So MiniBooks has no excuse as to why they could not add expenses. But I hate the idea of having to use two apps for FreshBooks! It's my main Pet Peeve with the iPhone, no multi tasking!! Takes too long to juggle between two apps.
Sorry I paid $15 for this app when I could have just used their lite version for free. All I ever use on this App is the timer. If MiniBooks decides to update their app to include Invoicing Timed jobs and includes the Expenses, then I will gladly give this app 10 stars!!

I really need to be able to log expenses to make this the perfect app. I would then be able to recommend to my clients also.
The main thing I want to do on the run is enter expenses, and this app doesn't support that. I'd rather do invoicing from a bigger screen, and while I do appreciate the time-tracking features, I usually am at the computer already when I have work to track... so for me, the only thing I really want badly is to log expenses via the app. Can we get that soon?
I'd pay for this app--and upgrade my FB account too--*IF* it supported creating invoices from logged time. You can create an invoice, but, apparently, then you have to manually enter the times. With the web-based verison of FB, you can create a new invoice and have it auto-populate from your project's times. If MB supported this feature, I'd be on-board in a heartbeat.

This would be nice if it was for blackberries... I have a whole team of field guys.. and I know alot of real companies use blackberry and not iphone cause it is a business phone.. why not make it a real app and not a toy.

C'mon dudes... no way to add anything on the fly? That's coding 101. If we wanted to be stuck with what was already in the system -- would be be using a handheld? Nope. We use handhelds b/c we're always in a hurry... always running around somewhere.. and probably don't have anything set up right to start with.

Just got this App. It does not allow you to create invoices from time sheets (a much needed function for those of us in the service industry). Other than that it is a good app overall, but the price is a bit steep for an app that is missing some fundamental features.
I am anxiously awaiting the updates!
I've recently purchased this app which works extremely well.
I couldn't give 5 stars based on:
- the application doesn't support the scenario when one has two or more accounts with Freshbooks. For example - I run two separate companies but am unable to manage both with the app.
2 - staff is able to view and send invoices using the online version, but not with the iphone app - one instead gets the message "You do not have access to invoices".
this app rocks im using the lite version and the free version of Fresh Books Suits my needs perfectly and the timer

I finished at my clients office at 3:30. My client needed an invoice before close of business. I wasn't sure I would make it back to my home office in time. I downloaded MiniBooks, logged into my FB account, setup my clients contact info, created an invoice & emailed it - all from the parking lot, all in under 10 minutes. From now on - Invoices go out minutes after the work is done. Awesome.
It would be better if it pulled the last INV number & auto-incremented when creating a new INV.
This is one of the first apps I installed on my iphone, but I am sadly disappointed. The only thing I really really want in the on-the-go iPhone app is he ability to enter expenses. When will this feature be included? Thanks!
I have to say that I am quite disappointed that this app is missing the ability to add Projects & Tasks on the fly. Also I agree with Kit Allen on the on-the-go expenses system.
I will buy the full version once these things are present in this application. Until then keep working on it guys, you are almost there!
Lovin' MiniBooks - it was one of the first apps installed on my new iPhone and has made tracking time on my current Projects so easy.
I would have rated 5 stars if it only allowed me to list and create new Projects, and also see how much time has been accumulated on existing Projects. Surely this feature is possible too?

Love it. Definitely worth the price. But totally agree with Eric: I've wanted an on-the-go expenses system since I started using Freshbooks, and it's so frustrating that this has everything but!

I've been looking for a decent iPhone app for FreshBooks and found this one. It's exactly what I was looking for. Now I can invoice everybody I see without having to get in front of my computer!! I just made one up right now for writing this review!
Seriously though, it's got a great interface, it's slick at enabling you to efficiently manage clients and invoices. Great job.
Been using Freshbooks since the beginning of 2009 and like it so far. I was just lamenting the lack of a better app to manage Freshbooks (the old time tracker deal was not good for me) and what do you know, there is Minibooks. I thought about it for about 43 seconds and then bought it. It is great using it all over the place and helps me invoice on the fly. Wish there was a accounts total like the home screen. Awesome job, it just keeps getting better.
I saw this application on the App Store and suddenly decided to switch to Freshbooks. I had been using another web application to do invoicing which did not have as many features. However, being able to add clients, create invoices on the go (or rather just view them), and time tracking plus expenses is literally worth every penny.
They now have a lite application which works with the FREE Freshbooks account, but the paid version is highly worth it.
