How it works
Connecting 2Checkout to FreshBooks gives your clients the ability to pay for their invoices directly using their credit card or PayPal.
Getting Started
You’ll need to apply for a 2Checkout account by clicking on the Get Started button above. If you already have a 2Checkout account, or are ready to connect it to your FreshBooks account, take the following steps:
- Login to your FreshBooks account.
- Click on the ‘Settings’ section, and then ‘Online Payments’.
- Check off the box for 2Checkout
- In the 2Checkout section that appears, you’ll want to enter your Vendor number from your 2Checkout account.
- Click the ‘Save’ button to finalize the setup.
When you clients view their invoices, they should now see an Enter Payment buttton on the invoice, which will present them with the option to enter their credit card information and submit their payments.

The rate is a bit higher than other gateways but there is no monthly fee which is nice to not worry about yet another contract.
The integration is seemless and I have never had any issues with them.
Horrible customer service, take over 72 hours just to get a reply. And really short minded individuals that don't know how to differentiate basic businesses. And not to mention rude and impolite.
Not only will they sometimes take over the already HIGH 5,5% per transaction, they will sometimes go as high as 11% without giving you ample reasons. And then they withhold 30% of all your income for over 90 days.
Horrible horrible company.
I highly recommend you go to someone else.
Integration was easy and it works great. Seamless.
Works great, I'm not sure a 1 star because of user error is appropriate.
